Avatar Video Sharing
Allows users to share their webcam, visible to others.
Social & Communication
The Avatar Video Sharing plugin is key to any online interaction and the metaverse is no exception. This plugin allows you to share your webcam with other online users, whether using a regular webcam or any kind of third-party device (eg. Nvidia Broadcast). You can view the range of your Avatar Video audio, by hovering over your avatar with your mouse or trackpad. ⚠ The distance that your video is sharing may be closer or farther to you in the space, depending on the World settings of the space. To configure your Avatar video, you can click on your profile photo on the bottom left of the screen and then go to Audio & Video to adjust the source inputs of your mic and video. Turning on and off your webcam is as easy as any other communications platform, click Unmute to turn on your Mic, or “Video On” to turn on your webcam. Click these again to Mute or to Turn off Webcam. ⚠ Note: This is different than the media plugin, which is used to share A/V media onto other objects (like a screen) rather than from your avatar.
Type "avatar" > select Install. Click on "Settings" to check and tweak default settings. Options: Start Automatically, Max Video Sessions (custom #), Network (Default, Peer-to-Peer, Peer-to-Peer (relayed), Vonage Video API; Safari Workarounds: Use Vonage on iOS (Default, Yes, No)
