Sharing media is one of the primary drivers of engagement in these spaces. It’s what allows you to communicate en masse, and is quite powerful in combination with plugins like the presentation zone plugin. You can share: Your webcam -Screenshare -HLS Streams -A single media file (from local server storage or an external URL) All of that content can be shared with any object in your space. Typically this is handled, for instance, by creating a flat plane, right-clicking on Properties, and adding the necessary components to play the kind of media you want. Media can be played both synchronously or asynchronously to improve performance on low-bandwidth machines. Media Controller is the most straightforward component to install, and will automatically install necessary subcomponents to play the media you want: -Media Source - Stream - Displays a stream from your webcam or screen as a Media Source. -Media Destination - Audio - This allows you to hear spatial audio from a Media Source. -Media Destination - Video - This allows you to display the video from a Media Source.

Type “media” > select Install. To use, select “Editor” from top toolbar, select an object in scene or from the Editor list, go to the Components tab (right tab on bottom of Advanced Editor). Select “Add Component” and choose desired option. Options include Media Destination – Audio, Media Destination – Video, Media Source – From URL, and Media Source – Stream
